I believe Mike may be referring to the author of "Hunting Dog Know-How", "Expert Advice on Gun Dog Training" and "Hunting Hounds: The History, Training, and Selection of America's Trail, Tree, and Sight Hounds".
Coincidentally, I just found the first two titles when going through some books in the basement last night.....! Small world!
