Mr Reed, I live down in Atlanta. The gun shows here hardly ever have anything worth seeing. When someone has a Parker, the price is through the roof for a gun that usually has issues. Same for the Elsies. I usually see a few Schwartz restorations, but I'm not a fan of his colors. The most interesting thing I've seen is a Baker three barrel that I passed on because the barrels were shortened several inches. That was last year at the Cartersville show. Best thing I've gotten out of attending is walking around with a gun on my own shoulder to sell.
As for 22lr - seems the supply is starting to loosen up. I've managed to acquire a good bit in the last 6 months by stopping at Walmarts outside of the Perimeter. (The stores inside 285 don't sell ammo - I guess they are protecting us from the gangs) What I've found has been about $34/500. Buying the stuff in 100 round increments isn't worth it to me.
