At least one of the early Repro brochures says that custom length of pull was an available option which may account for some guns showing up with long LOP's. But, IMHO there seems to be too many long LOP guns out there for that to be the logical explanation.

My opinion is, (and I have no documentation to base my opinion on) is that most of the guns I see that have a longer LOP are DT guns and these DT guns were originally assembled with stocks that were intended for ST guns. (The standard 14 3/8" LOP is measured from the front trigger to the center of the butt on DT guns and from the trigger to the center of the butt on ST guns. Because ST guns have the trigger mounted in the rear position they utilize a longer stock to arrive at the standard 14 3/8" dimension.)
