The Parker reproductions are the best value in the American designed SXS shotgun. Hi quality materials and top shelf workmanship at a great price. They were only made from 1984 till dec-1988 and only about 12000 guns had been made. Several configurations are very scarce and requires much study to get a feel for the numbers of this or that. All hard records are said to be lost so we will never really know the true numbers. Like other rarities its how often they are seen for sale that is a good gauge of the availability. I have been searching the net for years collecting repro;s and have a good idea of whats out there and what they sell for normally. And there always good buys but you must be lucky to get a sweet deal or know the seller personally before they hit the main sales events. Many repro's are very scarce indeed! I have been collecting for a good 10 years now, at first I bought my hunting guns 20ga then 28ga. then 16ga. then 12ga. and now even 410 /28 sets all double triggers guns with stocks that have the same dimensions or very close. All my repro's are DHE grade guns. I have been looking for a BHE for years now that has double triggers with no luck at all...have never seen one for sale at any price....)-: I have been told about ones I missed...bummer. Repro's can be very hard to find if your looking for a model that few were made and you will pay all the money to get it! The DT-BTF 28ga guns are scarce...be ready to pay the going price with cash in hand. I do think they are a great value...what would CSM ask for one if they made it? maybe 25-40K in DHE grade. SXS ohio....(-:
