1/16" would certainly strike the primers differently but it is pretty likely that you would get ignition most of the time.

20 gauge? 28 gauge? The first 28 ga. guns Parker made were on the 20 ga. 0-Frame but the barrels were bored for the twenty ga. 0-Frame pin seperation.
