I noted the 24-gauge box of Remington shells in the Wards auction --

Interesting box. Must be from right around 1930 or 31 as it is still a tan box but has Kleanbore priming which usually came in the new green two-piece boxes.

I've had this later box of Remington 24-gauge shells for years --





None of my UMC, Rem-UMC or Remington ammunition catalogues list 24-gauge shells, but they certainly seem to have made them!!
