Thank you for the information. The gun dates to a 1905 mfr. but the buttstock is not the original, it dates to 1901 with the # 102242.
It seems like a pretty good fit to the gun. The shoulder end of the stock
is unfinished and has laminated leather attached about 3/4" total thickness
and missing a plate. I will post photos later to get recommedations how to
finish it. Thanks again.
