He referred to the shell holder diameter as 15/16". I emailed him that 15/16" is exactly the dimension of a ten gauge shell base. He replied to me, but didn't mention this in the ad. The dimension of an eight gauge shell base is one inch when it has the industrial base intact. The seller must have gone to "Funny School" where one inch converts to .85 as Phillip posts.
