I'd guess that that the trigger group is rusty/grungy somehow, which is pretty common in the Parkers I've dismantled. Most are pretty messy around the trigger blades and spring and need a good cleaning. It doesn't take much grunge in there to hang a trigger up a bit. That is a lot of gun for that money, especially a 1-frame. My 26" 1-frame 12ga weighs 6#10oz and is my favorite grouse/woodcock gun.
