Ed, where did you find blooming forsythia this time off year in NH? Talk about climate change.

at the request of my friend and mentor, i cut it and bring it inside, where she puts the stems in water...and low and behold, we got blooms in march!

Hello,
I am collecting Funk guns. Does this piece have a serial number?

ed good 03-18-2013 10:33 AM

peter: the serial number 14452 is stamped on the butt plate and the under side of the barrels. what year to do suppose this gun was made? from its style, i would guess 1860, more or less?

Peter Lund 03-18-2013 10:56 AM

Around 1860-65 - but unfortunately it is only a guess. I have no guns with serial numbers and an exact year of manufacturing from around this period, sorry
Peter
