Parker Trojan barrel question

I have a 1918 Parker Trojan Serial #180403. Is there any way I can find out more information about this shotgun? I measured the barrel and it's spot on at 24". I have heard that the Trojan barrels aren't suppose to be that short? Everything looks original. It has been in the family for two generations. I know my father did not modify it, and he doesn't believe his father did either. Were any Trojans manufactured with a stock 24" barrel?

That serial number is not in the ID book so you would need to order a Research Letter on the gun.

Post a couple of high resolution pictures of the end of the barrels and the end of the top rib.

A special order barrel on a Trojan is unlikely. Butt... You never know.
If the rib matting runs off the end, then they are prolly cut.

Like dean said, post a few pics of the muzzle end of the barrels. Both end face and top.

Odd are very high the barrels were cut. Rib matting going to the end is not a fully accurate determination of cut barrels.

Keels vs. solder and length of the choke constriction should be determined. Dean is right we need high resolution pictures to advise.

The table in The Parker Story lists one 24-inch barrel 12-gauge Trojan Grade. Join the PGCA and order a Research letter. Also two with 23-inch barrels and one with 25-inch barrels.

Our website research service, which you apparently have not searched, indicates that information is available on your gun. The information you receive may not indicate that your gun is an original factory 24" gun, but it is worth a shot.
