Late Phez Hunt in SD
 

Went to SD about two weeks ago and had a great time, good weather and good dog work. We hunted four and half days and filled out every day but had to work hard for the birds but the Parker 16ga VH didn't let me down. We hunted all public land. We only seen two other groups of hunters the hole week one local and some guys from Iowa. My camera strap broke the first day out and went to the ground, plan B so I didn't get to many photos. ALL in all a great trip. I was out earlyer for sharpies and had some luck....

Man! those are some pretty birds!

One of my favorite things about a cock pheasant is the sage and gray colored patch on the tops of their heads and the blue, green and rust rump patch. I miss those birds awful.
