Anyone own or have pictures of a Parker Repeating Carbine or Springfield rifle?
 

I have nearly finished reading Peter Johnson's book. Curious if anyone owns one of the first Parker guns produced during the Civil War. I'd like to see what they look like. Or is that in TPS? Copies arrived the other day, but still wrapped in plastic.

Is the Parker Snow Musket also known as the repeating carbine used by the North Kentucky Militia in 1860? This website says the PSM was produced starting in 1861.

The Parker Snow musket is a different gun from the Kentucky gun. They are both wonderful guns when in good condition. They are both described in The Parker Story. The Parker Snow musket is not a repeating rifle. It is a breechloading single shot rifle.

The Triplett and Scott repeater in the Poulon auction has cracks in the stock. If you want one, don't wait for one with an uncracked stock. The stock cracking is a normal trait of the T&S.
