Dan Morgan ...Shooting Sportsman magazine
Gentleman greetings! Just a short note on Dan Morgan who is written about in one of the featured articles in the latest Shooting Sportsman magazine (Mar/Apr) . I am not in Dan' s will and know him only over the phone.Prior to last fall I sent Dan a very worn DH barrel to bring out the pattern . During the course of the work Dan treated my project with care and professionalism plus the completed work was all that one could ask for. In these days of vanishing craftsmen it is nice to know that there are still some out there that take pride in their work. Thanks for reading through this post.Andy

That was a good article and it is reassuring to see new first class gunsmiths coming along as some of the others get old or go out of business. There is also an article with a picture of a DH 8 gauge . . . overall a good issue

Although I haven't had occasion to use his services I've heard a lot of good things about Dan in the recent past. It's good to see him and his work featured in Shooting Sportsman.

I have never used his services although most of my fellow Vintagers in New England do. He is a Vintager as well so he is there for all our events in case of a problem. At every event he seems to deliver and take away a SUV full of guns. Kind of like our dry cleaner...
If it matters, and to me it does, he is a thoroughly pleasant fellow. |
George , You mean you have a dry cleaner that comes to your town to pick up stuff?

I have had Daniel do work for me an it was top notch. It's a great relief to have someone you can trust and rely on to get into your favorite guns. I am trying to track down the article.
