Captain Billy Radio Show

For those interested, we're going to be talking Parkers on the Captain Billy radio show broadcast throughout the upper midwest, this Sat at 0630. The presentation generates interest for Pheasants Forever's Pheasant Fest Feb 15-17 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. We will have a significant collection of Parkers on exhibit.

Is that 6:30 a.m. or p.m.?

John Dunkle 01-31-2013 04:31 PM

Bruce is Military. If he'd meant 6:30 PM - he would have posted something like 29:30 (or whatever 6:30PM would be..?? ;) )

Hope this helps, but probably adds nothing..??

John

Yup, you're right... "adds nothing", but the military time thing makes perfect sense.

Are you ready to do that swap thing?

Bruce Day 01-31-2013 04:58 PM

That's 1230 hrs GMT ( Greenwich Mean Time ) for you civilians. Of course when you sleep untill noon and somebody brings you breakfast in bed we can't expect you to tell time properly.:)

We need a good NCO around here to straighten this place up. Anybody seen Sgt. Herzog?

You BET I AM!!! I've been sooo excited about ever since we discussed it - thank you!!! Honestly, while I think I might be getting the better part of the deal (BUT ONLY SLIGHTLY!!!), I'm certain that both guns would be better suited in their new home?

BTW - you still haven't shot it yet, right? I mean - it is an absolutely unmolested 16GA hammer gun.. I can't wait...

I should bring you up to date on your "soon to be new to you" firearm, though... First - DO NOT DROP IT!! I had a heck of a time finding it in the leaves and undergrowth with the Mossy Oak Camo pattern - it really blends in..!! Also, when shooting ducks this fall - it did have to second as a canoe paddle. She dried right out tho'.. Amazing what those synthetic stocks can take!! I also pretty well straightened out the barrel? Can hardly tell that I used it as an extension to my lug-wrench...

And yep - I know Mossberg 500As are getting tough to find lately - but, your going to have yourself a dandy!!!

Thanks for swapping!!!!

John

Now - this ole' 500A has been in my family for about 5 years. Frankly, it's almost an antique (or so I told Dean..?? He is rather gullible, I suppose?? ;) )

John
