Cold Ducks

Not the 80's wine fad, but actual cold ducks. Here are a couple of photos of them languishing a scant 1/2 mile from my ponds. I did see some geese on one our ponds on the way to take these pictures. Don't feel like making jerky so I will hope they get the ducks to follow them over.:)

My first shot would be right at that pintail that is front and center in the first photo. Great pictures!

That looks very frustrating. Tons of ducks and no real way to benefit form it. A sneak is tough, two shots could put you over limit, and if the dog refuses the retrieve.....well, nuff said. Great picture.

Actually, it would be a snap. They fly up and down the canal and the dog isn't an issue. Problem is it is refuge.
-30 again last night and if that wasn't bad enough, I split a tooth and had to have it pulled. Pulling was the easy part. Very painful before hand.
Have some geese on the place but don't want to mess with them yet.
