From parts gun to shooter
7 Attachment(s)
I bought this VH as a parts guns, but the wife convinced me to try to fix it... Some Areoglass, CA glue, SS pins and new rust bluing on the barrels and it back in action! Fired a box of target shell thru it this afternoon and the stocked didn't come a part. She's not going to win any awards, but I won't feel bad if it gets scratches when hunting with it.

I love seeing project pieces brought back from the edge. I'm forever bringing home derelicts and hope I live long enough to get to a few of them. Congratulations on a nice job.

The guy who did the blue is Bob Seaman out of Port Saint Lucie FL. He did a great job! |
Nice little project Chris.
Bob seaman does most of my rust bluing work. Good guy. |
They always seem a bit more special when you take time to rescue them! It will make a wonderful shooter

Did you put any metal in that stock repair?
|
3 stainless steel #6 screws that I cut down, and acraglassed. They do not protude thru the stock, and I figured that the threads would help hold it better.
