problem with 28 Ga. repro.

I have a 28 ga. Parker Reproduction that I shoot for both hunting and clays.
The tang that holds the beavertail in place will on firing begin to open , after 2 -3 shots it will open to the point of falling off. I've had to catch the for end many times. As a result I have to make sure the tang is in place after every shot. I've taken the gun to my gunsmith ; he has been unable to fix the problem. I shoot standard low brass loads so I'm not over shooting the gun.

Has anybody experienced this problem , what's the fix, or is this just part of the gun's personality?
I must say I really like the gun and shot it very well so I don't want to sell it.

I replied to your first post.

Look in the "Parker Reproduction" section in the Forums...the answer lies in my post, entitled "THOUGHTS ON THIS"

Good luck and hope you can find a competent smith to work on it...easy fix.
