like everbody else ive got no ties with this gun...but there is a nice parker hammer gun thats got a lot of engraving on it at a fair price its a nice parker 10 ga..some you hammer boys better look at this one good...first of all its on gunbroker the auction no is 319140865... charlie

Nice example of early Grade 2 animal engraving.

I just bought a grade 2 lifter a couple weeks ago and my engraving does not look anything likt that. A bit earlier than the one that is the subject of the thread. Mine is a 17,000 s/n series or 1880 production with just some border engraving and some basic scroll fourishes.
Mines does have the sculptured bolsters which does not appear on all grade 2 guns.
Goes to show that there was a lot of variation within grades in the early years.
