Serial Number....
....look-up, please: 116794. Thank you! By the way, are there any statistics pertaining to frame size/guage? For instance, how many 10 guage guns were built on number 6 frames:whistle:

Mark, Plain Twist,no options, capped pistol grip 10 gauge 32" barrels. Frame size used was pretty much determined by the guns desired finished weight. Maybe Chuck will verify this but I don't think the books listed frame sizes used.

Thanks, Dave. This gun is a brute! The 32 " barrels have a weight, as marked, of 8 & 4. The bores have seen some black powder, but are quite usable. The stock retains much of the original finish, too. It is nice to finally come into a Parker that needs nothing more than a thorough cleaning. I will work on some photos:cheers:

The order books don't list frame sizes and only the later stock books do (about 225xxx to the last one about 237xxx.) Remington IBM cards do not show frame sizes either.

I plan on getting a letter ASAP. Maybe it will state whether the gun was ordered 'extra heavy'. I could see where a market hunter would appreciate the bulk when firing a bazillion cartridges in one day!
