vhe 16 gauge #1 vs #0 frame
I have a VHE 16 gaueg 28 inch english stocked. It is on the number 1 frame. Have a Fox A grade 16 with number 4 barrels. Who prefers the number 1 rame over the 0 frame?

Unless I'm after pheasant or ducks I'll stick with a 0-frame sixteen for the majority of my hunting.
I've got a 0.
5lb 13 oz. and ZERO recoil with RST 1 ouncers. |
I'm with Dean. My O frames are for hunting and my 30 & 32" 1 frames are great target guns.
I have both and the only difference I can see personal prefferance. I have an 0 frame 16 that weighs more than an 1 frame with the same barrel length. IMHO it's the weight of the barrels and the density of the wood that makes the weight difference.

I like the Fox!
ah liks erm both!
Some #1 frame bird guns weigh 6 1/4 pounds, the same that most #0 frame bird guns weigh.
I like the little bit of heft in the #1 frame. I have always been partial to the pattern of a 1 oz. 16ga. load and generally like the #1 frame for that.
