Serial # look up.... Please
Hey guys I'm doing this for a friend (will remain unnamed) who's hoping to buy his first Parker but I think the sales men's trying to rip him off.
He was told it was manufactured on Oct 10 1910, Serial # 238248V (apparently a vh) It says Over load, and is supposly also marked "Parker gun works" and also stamped "Proved C"*12 "1 1/2" I'm assuming thats the frame size. Please see what you guys can find out |
Book says straight grip 12 GA, 26" barrels, extras code 14 which looks like ejectors + single trigger + large foregrip. I believe I interpreted that right.

One other question, what was the date of manufacture and if possible what is the frame size and some of the markings mean? Also would like to know what grade and other important info can you get on the gun?
|
238248 is a grade 0 (VHE) Remington gun made after 1934 with the options Eric stated. A 1 1/2 stamp on the barrel lug indicates the frame size.
