Parker experts-does is this correct??
 

I was looking at Julia's fall auction offering. They list a CH 86469 with Bernard barrels-----The top rib appears engraved and not roll stamped and the little arrows at the end of the text are missing----this is a 1898 gun? Just trying to learn would this be correct? The Parker Story shows a roll stamped rib marking for this period. Thanks Sorry about the English in my title I sent it off before I could correct it. Good question, since this is a Julia's question I'll stay out of it.....

Here are some pictures of mine. I have no comment on the Julia's picture other than "never say never".

Mine is engraved, not 'roll stamped'.

I'll look on the ends of the engraved message on my 1897 Bernard barrels. I'll report back.
