Parker/Fox Challenge

Apparently our friends from Philidelphia have gotten over the beating they took the last time we met on the field at Addieville East Farm in 2010. This past year they didn't even show up...I guess the pain was too much for them to bear. Well they have Manned-up and are going to have another go to regain their coveted $50.00 bill that Larry has hanging on the wall in his gun room.....:rotf: This event will be shot concurrently with the American Classics event at this years Vintagers at Addieville East Farm in Mapleville ,RI
The challenge is 50 targets and can be shot either Friday or Saturday. The top 5 Parker scores will be pitted against the top 5 Fox scores. I for one can't wait to send them home crying in their soup. "Matrons of Meriden" my a**

Here is a post from the "Fox Site"....The nerve....

We interrupt this regularly scheduled program for the following announcement:

PA affiliate, WKPA, reports widespread rumors outside of N18th and Windram, regarding the possibility of a bonafide Fox vs Parker Challenge shoot at this month's Vintage Cup, held at the hallowed Addieville East Farms shooting grounds in Mapleville, RI.

Fox officials had no comment at this time, although one inside source, a clerical worker for Fox director and tobacco magnate, Louis Eisenlohr, did state she overheard conversation of an emergency, closed- door Fox director's meeting, for later this evening.

No contact was initiated with Parker Bros., as slumping sales ( due to nagging QC issues with triggers and ejectors) has idled the Meriden, CT plant to a 3-day a week production schedule.

Stay tuned to your local NBC station as further news of this momentous sporting contest unfolds....................

Dave,
I'm glad to see this coming together and would suggest that a method to decide ties be predetermined to avoid controversy later. Also if shooting is to conclude on Saturday a time should be set for the awards so people can make plans to attend if they wish.

I don't think that would be fair Frank, A.H. Fox didn't build any guns in mens sizes :)
