Who is E. Chanslor?
This fella put down $450 in 1890 to buy an AH two barrel set. Must have had a few dollars! Can't find out anything about him. He lived in Lexington, Mo.
The gun also may have some association with a Gen Pogue at Ft Levenworth. Anybody know who these fellas are? Thx, Ray |
the best start for finding someone from back then - is the census records. Many of them can be found online
another good source is the old city directory books- most towns did them every year until the phone company took over the task. Either source should give you an idea about age and profession geneology web sites have links, or many libraries have research help for a smallfee |
Maybe some help
