B Grade Lifter Action Hammer Parker

2 Attachment(s)
B grade ( dollar grade equivalent) lifter action hammer Parker. Twelve gauge, 30" barrels, SN 3224. These may be fine damascus or in these early lifters we see various unusual damascus patterns such as herringbone laminated and stars and stripes damascus.

When these were made, they were being bought by Civil War veterans and those who were making money in the increasing industrialization of the American economy. $200 to $250 was a significant amount in the 1870's. In many cases, they are treasured and well kept in a family for generations; in others, they are abused and neglected, as we saw in the chopped barrel example which is only 11 numbers away from this one.

This gun was shown at the Pheasant Fest in February and at the NRA Convention in March.

Bruce, can you show pictures of the grip of the stock on that B including the teardrops behind the lock plates?

normal , normal, nothing unusual. Don't have photos of that on the B but if you need them on a C, just say so.

No thanks Bruce, the C won't do. I wanted to compare the checkering and tear drop with that of the dollar grade shown in the other thread that is 11 numbers away from the gun in the pictures you posted... maybe you can ask your "buddy" if he has pictures of that area on the grip?
