GH with straight grip
Hello all,
I have just acquired another parker, a GH 12g with 30" barrels on 1 1/2 frame. I have seen straight gripped guns on this Site, and have owned a few DH/E configured this way but, is it less common to see a GH with a straight grip? Also the wrist seems extremely dainty... I am awaiting a letter, but what can you tell me to help me pass the time? Sn 132161 Photos will follow on the next sunny day (I'm having no luck with artificial light) Thanks Mark |
That is a dandy Mark! I would like to own one. ch Get thoes pictures.

Mark,
Take your pictures of the gun with a neutral background, outside on an overcast day. Bright sun or harsh artificial light, as well as photo flash, will not produce the pictures that you can get from a natural overcast day that defuses the light and allows good detail to show. |
Most Parker Bros. (pre-Remington) guns were produced with nice slim wrists. I prefer a gun made this way. Maybe a bit more prone to breaking there but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

I've seen Ed Muderlak kill an awful lot of ducks with a factory straight grip GH. He was deadly with it, even shooting wrong handed after he lost the vision in his right eye.

Wonderful gun Mark, I think that wood will look great once you clean it up.
