Chairman John Davis's Father has Passed

John's father passed away this morning. He was 94 years old. He was known in the South as a "Country Lawyer" and practiced law for many years. As you know John followed in his dad's footsteps. Our condolences to John, Jennifer and his two daughters Parker and Scout. John was unable to make the Southern this year due to his fathers failing health. God Bless.

Mark

We will honor him by carrying on.

We sure missed our favorite researcher at the Southern. Maybe he will fight his way North to the Northeast Shoot. But, more realistically, we will see him at Georgetown, SC in the Fall.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing John's Dad but if John is a "chip off the old block" then we know his Dad was truly a "Southern Gentleman" in every good sense of the expression, because that's exactly what John is and he is a tribute to his father's memory.

In my thoughts and prayers John.

Thanks to each and all for your thoughts and prayers. Dad had a long and blessed life. We will miss him but he is now at rest in a much better place. For their sake, I hope they've got a law office for him to go to. John

John, my prayers are with you and your family at this bittersweet time. I still feel the loss of my Dad in 2003 and especially in the fall when hunting season begins and I think back to the forty plus years of those times with him in the woods of the northeast. May God bless you and yours. Jim
