DGC will be hosting a side by side special shoot. The first one will be held on

Wednesday, April 11, 2012
Starts at 2:00pm until dusk.
No set times
Open to all
100 sporting clays targets
Hamburger or Hotdog and soft drink

$40.00
Detroit Gun Club.

Scotty enjoyed us so much he is going to do this monthly.
I will post dates as the are made available

Good! The Detroit Gun Club has a great course for SxS Sporting Clays.

Please coordinate future shoot dates with Scotty. The Lapeer SxS Spring Shoot with Steak Dinner will be held on May 12th. We need to work together on scheduling SxS events.

I think that...

Pro: Since the DGC is private holding SxS shoots allows non-members to shoot the DGC course which is quite good.

Con: Every month won't draw as many shooters as would quarterly shoots.

Advice: If and only if all the rules to include not only shooting and the course of fire but also the time of, and how to obtain the lunch/food, are clearly understood by all participants there should not be any negative thoughts generated. Just because every club member knows that a "rule" will be posted on a small blackboard located somewhere in the clubhouse, guests probably do not. Remember, One "aw-shxx" wipes out ten "atta-boys". Please ask the management to be clear about how the event will be conducted.
