Well since case colors seem to be a popular subject and have drawn such high interest and generated much discussion over the last couple days, here are a few more, some from my old Parkers, others from a buddy.

Bruce,
Your guns are so beautiful that they stir an emotion deep down inside me....and I'm pretty sure its called "ENVY"!

I know, it can be like a burning desire, a torch.

However, if a person really wants to see a fine Parker, how about the following? Its a 9ft, 3/4pc, 6wt, a Parker-Hawes . Made by Merritt Hawes, son of Hiram Hawes, son of Cora Leonard Hawes, grandson of H L Leonard, originator of the split bamboo rod. These were the A-1 Special of rods, and marketed by Parker through Abercrombie & Fitch and other high end sporting stores. Only about 325 were made. While a person sees some beautiful rods today, such as Sweetgrass, Winston, Gary Howells, Leonards, Summers, these Parker-Hawes are still special. The tapers provide a medium-fast action, a feel that many vintage rods are not known for.

Good luck finding another one of those! Thanks for sharing Bruce. Repro Time! Have you ever let anyone put a micrometer on that rod to reproduce the taper? That would be a cool project.
