Driven Bird Pair

Reading some of the archived information on this site I came across a Shooting Sportsman interview with Jack Skeuse, within which was mentioned the production of 'Driven Bird Pairs'.
Although I'm a relative newcomer to Parkers, I continually search for ANY information relating to Repros but have never heard of this variant.

Can someone shine a little more light on this one ?

I know of one set that was listed for sale on the net. It was a 12ga single trigger set in a correct repro double gun case. It was used....I did not keep any records about it. One does exist...thanks all SXS ohio.....(-:

Driven bird guns

Hi Guys I just asked Jack if we made a set of driven bird guns. His answer was that we might have put a set together, but it was 2 guns with matching dimensions put in a custom 2 gun case.

Richard, does that mean that the two were not consecutively numbered?

More that likely not, but stranger things may have happened

Richard ,Please forgive my ignorance ,but would they have been identical guns in Choke ,Balance ,Dimensions etc. ,also would they have had any special engraving or markings ,showing them to be the " Driven Bird Pair " ? Thank you ; Russ

Well there you go.It does not have the Parker Reproduction case but a nice expensive pair at that.

Some of the rare Repros offered for sale by that dealer (an example is the two forend gun recently sold) are most likely from the collection of a person who had and maybe still has a close association with the Repro operation and one of its high volume dealers. He ordered many special order and custom guns which are apparently now coming on the market. Kevin M. and I displayed some of these outrageous guns in our "Parker .410" display at the Maryland Antique Arms Collectors Show at Baltimore several years ago. Some of you may remember that great display. If Mr. Skeuse does not know to whom I am referring, he may PM me and I will refresh his memory. I believe the pair advertised may be an original Driven Bird pair.
