Cheddite primers
Anybody have a comment on substituting cheddite 209 for win209 when it comes to pressure. The cheddite2000 is said to be hotter but are there concerns about pushing the load too far. Thanks

Yup..I agree Cheddites are a bit milder.

Great. Have not seen that. Appreciate the info.

Been useing them for years - can't remember a misfire - and as said before pressures are the same or lower. Paul

just looked to see if i had some chedite primers i did but they were the 157 cheditite.. some of which is the same as the old rem. 57 primer... is the chedite primer cheaper in price than whinchesters... charlie

I have always found them cheaper than the winchesters. I buy by the thousand and they are cheaper at the gun shows and a local club where I usually find them. I never had a bad one and never pierced one.

I buy em by the brick [ 5000 ] and they're $105 - Win 135. Paul

good price on the chedites... even the winchesters are a lot cheaper thanin my area usally about 45.00 for a thosand ...thats interesting to know paul that youve had such good luck with those primers espically with all the shells you reload... charlie

If I had to reload at retail prices I'd be shooting a lot less - the guys at my club put in an order to a wholesaler about 4 times a year - it saves us a lot of money. Paul
