It's definitely time

So, to post this in here or in the "hunting with Parkers" forum section. Tough question. It's been a long and very cold winter here and the daily trip to the outhouse has taken it's toll and the resultant "xxxxsicle" has grown to monumental proportions, threatening an Atilla the Hun style impalement if not dealt with promptly. Well, today was the day. A cldy grey snowy morning of just -10deg; tomorrow would be tougher as it's supposed to be -40 tonight. I prepared for this weeks ago by loading up a couple of the 10ga bismuth shells that I had been cutting open for the shot with nine 00-buck pellets each. Seemed an appropriate load considering the adversary. Turns out I was right as it took both barrels to 'getterdone'. Hard to get the camera and the shots timed just right but this is how it went for the great sicle hunt of 2012. Used my 1886 grade-2 hammer gun for the deed.

Wow, Talk about your Preserve Hunt! I'll bet they don't take flight no matter how hard you kick'em. They just lay there...lookin up at you...with their cute brown eyes. Better hope PETA don't find out! And there you'll be, on television, with your FUR hat on and everything!

Often heard on a Skeet field
Would seem to give new meaning to the phrase,
"Pull", !Bang! "Shit". |
When my wife begins to complain about cleaning the bathrooms, I'll show her that picture to remind her of how lucky she is.
