TROJAN FOREND LATCH

i have a set of 12 ga trojan barrels that have been fit to a ph receiver and forend. the forend lug appears to be original and not modified. does this mean that some trojans had deeley type forend latches? i thought they were all snap on type...

I believe the only Trojans with the forend latch were the prototype Trojan Skeet models by Remington of which only one or two were ever made.

thats what i thought... forend hook must have been changed long ago and now looks factory.

Ed ,A few years back ,I was talking with Larry DelGrego, and during the conversation ,he had mentioned that he had put a Deeley type latch on a 20 Ga. Trojan ,and I believe this was his own gun ,if it appears " Factory " maybe the DelGrecos had done others ,you could give him a call ,I would think he would remember . Just a Thought ! Russ

I don't remember the Trojan Skeet gun in the Remington museum having a D&E release. I think I feel an Ilion trip coming on. If I were putting a Trojan barrel set on a graded Parker, I would just use the Trojan forearm.
