Parker's store in NYC in 1908.I have pretty much complete documentation for this gun except:Who bought it? Is it possible to find out? Happy Holiday's

Sorry, no, unless you can find it in Griffin and Howe's list of guns. Not there either.

Thanks Bill,I checked G&H long ago.I'm surprised how meticulous their record keeping was that it's not recorded who bought it.Not that it matters anyway.I have a factory engraved Savage 1899 with the fellow's name and town factory engraved on the bottom which happen's to be the town I hunt in upstate N.Y.The gun was delivered to him in 1903 and he happened to be the CEO of American Milk& Sugar, which later became Borden.Sometime the story behind the gun is more interesting than the gun.

I think that statement applies to every gun. The problem is that we know so few of the 'stories'.

Yup, a gun with provenance is always interesting.

The problem continues, as I think very few us document our adventures, exploits and achievements for future generations to enjoy with the Parker's temporarily under our care today.
