Help identify stock

I recently found this stock. I think it is a Parker small frame maybe a 28 gauge? Can anyone confirm and what grade?

Thanks,
KC

Kev,
Can't read the s/n but probably could look it up to confirm. Either post it or you can call.

It looks like it says S3 and then 128? It look like a perfect match for my 28 ga in fittings size and shape... High grade wood... Although I don't need it.

It may not even be a Parker stock. It looks like it has either two shields or an initial plate that I don't recognize. It has a skeleton butt plate but lacks the points attributable to a Grade 3 or higher on which skeleton butt plates were fitted. There are Grade 2 Remington era Parkers that had skeleton butt plates fitted but for an accurate identification we will need more and better photos.

Daryl just called me and suggested I remove the butt plate to verify the SN. I will report back later. Maybe a forum member has the gun it belongs to?

Many thanks!

Oh, someone stuck a shield on the stock.

An extra shield??

For us to confirm it is a Parker stock, we would have to see a view from the head. That buttplate is a bit strange and the screws are even stranger. The screw spacing on the buttplate appear wrong unless it is a trick of the camera. Let's see that stock head. As Dean implies, the checkering pattern doesn't match anything from the Parker factory that would have a skeleton buttplate.

The stock

I hope it is the missing straight grip stock for my 20 ga VE that has been restocked.

As Dean mentioned, there are a lot of things that do not look right. The checkered side panels would inply a higher grade such as a B. But it would have drop points if it were a D or higher. And the wrist checkering is not correct for anything higher than a V grade. Also, the wrist checkering is too coarse for a higher grade.

If it is in fact for a Parker, I would suggest it was a restock. Pics of the head would be helpful.
