Parker silver stock shield

Would anyone have a Parker silver stock shield with the accompaning brads for a GH, a friend of mine is having stock work done and is in need of one? The shields that we've located all seem to be too large. I can be pm'd and we can talk about it. Thanks much, T.

Tom,

Are you trying to replace a lost shield in an original stock or install a new one in a new stock? We make them from scratch when replacing them and use either silver wire or gold wire for the brads. Finding one that will exactly fit an existing inlet may be a challenge. We had not drilled for the brads yet on the example below.

Nice work Dan. But then, all of your work is nice.

Dan, Please check your PM's. Thanks, Tom

Dan, is there a reason you would drill for brads when high tech glues are available?

Dave Suponski 10-27-2011 08:40 PM

In keeping as it was originally done?

Dan May 10-27-2011 08:47 PM

Exactly - I generally only do it if the customer asks. Some like to see the brads on close inspection like the originals. They are superfluous with modern adhesives.
