WHAT A SHAME..

This must have been a nice Parker at one time. It's a DH 12 ga with a 1-1/2 frame and 30 ich Damascus bbls. As you can see, the bbls have been blue, the frame has been polish to the extend that the engreaving is almost gone and a crack at the wrist and probably inside also. The stock has been sanded and the tear drops removed and it has been cut, probably by an inch or so. And of course a replacement butt plate. Other than that she's all Parker. Oh and the left trigger don't work.

What a shame, they even hot blued the damascus barrels along with most of the rest of the gun. Well it's a part's gun now, is it yours Angel?
|
I got it for cheap. I figure I'll send the bbls to Dale and see what they look like. The bores are not bad, just light pitting in front of the chambers and very few spots in the bores. It's got some weird chokes. The right bbl is Mod and the left IC.

Make sure the ribs are solid, like I said it was "hot blued" they could be loose.
|
The minute you said "hot blue" I checked them. I tapped them the whole length and they ring like a bell.
|
The blued trigger plate is an odd one for sure.

Besides being blue, it's in great shape with beautiful engraving. It shows four pheasents on the ground.

Angel: When I was at Brad's shop back in February, he showed me a gun that had had the engraving completely taken down by an owner who, decades later, realized the error of having done that. It had been a highly engraved gun. Through some process that revealed the pattern and with the assistance of an engraver who meticulously chased it all, it was brought back to life. I saw the bits and pieces in the white. That was impressive. The talent out there is amazing.

I had a 12 ga that Brad brought back the engraving, he does great work.
