#124983 Info Please

What can we know about this Parker? Barrel is 29 inches. Cut? Thanks. Gerald.:corn:

VH 12 ga, 30 inch bbls....

Gerald McPherson 10-01-2011 12:43 PM

Why only 1 inch? Looks like a great set of tubes that measure modified in both. Thanks for the reply Angel. Gerald.

removing an inch will open chokes somewhat...removing three inches should give you no choke and a short barrelled gun...great for the grouse wood, but bad for most every other purpose.

Safty in not automatic. Does that mean a missing or broken part? Thanks again. Gerald.

It might, or the link may be disconnected. If a person studies the assembly diagrams in TPS or the Parker catalogs, he can see how the safety operates.

As Bruce says it's probably the safety rod was removed as many people do not like automatic safeties. An inch may have been cut off due to damage to the muzzle of the barrels. Chokes on most Parkers are 3 to 4 inches long so still being Mod doesn't surprise me.
