Barrel length for 84096

Could someone let me know the barrel length that 84096 left the factory with?

J. Scott Hanes 06-23-2026 10:30 PM

That serial number is not in the book. Sorry.

John, if you like the gun, order a letter.

I was planning on it. Just really curious about the barrel length as they appear un cut at 30", but very little choke just by checking with a brass choke guage, which i know isnt the best way.

Suggestion from a old guy: Over the last 35 years I've ordered the factory letter on all my firearms whenever possible. Parker, Browning, L.C. Smith, Ithaca thru Cody Museum, Ruger, A. H. Fox thru J.T. Callahan and Winchesters and in my opinion it's money well spent. I've enhanced the value of many firearms because of the documentation.

PS: Only wish I had records on my Trapdoor Springfield, Remington 511, Remington 722 and couple of Stevens 44 1/2.

Drop in choke gauges would not give an accurate measurement on a parker of that period.

John Reed 06-24-2026 07:49 AM

I agree, Brian. Its just what I had at the moment.
