Engraver without spellcheck

Take a look at Guns International #100183763. Sure looks like the rib is engraved, I thought after 1880 the rib was marked with a roll-die. Damasacus instead of damascus?

George, that is a hot gun. I love that rib. If you don't buy it, someone else will before long. Be sure to bring it to the Vintagers for show and tell.

damasucus

Damasacus is a Syrian form of self abuse. I think this gun may have been owned by Kadafhi's grandfather

It's kinda small, only a 1 frame....probably belonged to his mother in law.

This gun is 55852 and I wonder if Parker 55295, the first hammerless Grade 2 gun, was also engraved as a DAMASACUS STEEL gun...

According to TPS ribs were roll engraved after 1879. This is a 1888 gun and also has USA in the logo. Is this another case of never say never when it comes to Parkers?
