Forearm hairline cracks

4 Attachment(s)
I just noticed these hairline cracks on my 151 year old lifter. These cracks are only on the barrel side of the forearm. What is the best way to repair these while leaving the checkering side original, if possible? I do hunt with this gun using low pressure loads.

Flood the cracks with thin CA glue and clean off excess. Depending on how much oil is in the wood, it may not hold too well.

Thank you Brian. I will give your suggestion a try.

Those are simply age cracks, not stress cracks.

Try this CA glue. It's very thin and can flow into cracks. Tough as nails. I bought it at a local Woodcrafters store.
