Straight stock and Pistol grip stocks are NOT interchangeable. Different inletting for trigger guard.

I’m doing just exactly that to my favorite Repro 28. The only problem I’ve encountered, aside from finding a straight grip trigger guard, is the fitment of the top lever spring cylinder which didn’t fit easily. I’ll need to do some careful measuring of both stocks to learn exactly how much wood I need to carefully remove.
