Thank you to everyone for figuring out my gun
3 Attachment(s)
Everyone has been so great in picking out what this shotgun is. I knew it was a beautiful gun and both my father and I treasured it but everyone here has been great decoding the numbers and letters. I am attaching 3 pictured that show what I have found with your help. There is one number I don't know yet. Please correct me if I am wrong on my findings.
First picture shows: serial #217264 made in 1926 Grade 8 A1 Special Patent date Second picture shows Parker Peerless steel logo on each side Weight of barrel Grade 8 Unknown stamp above the Peerless logo Unknown #7 Gauge 12 Frame size 1 1/2 Third picture shows: Serial # The unknown 7 |
The one "unknown" in picture 2 is J.G. in an oval, the initials of Jim Geary foreman of the barrel shop.
