parker barrel with no serial number

I recently purchased a Parker Damascus 12ga barrel that has no serial number on it.
32" D grade, 1 frame in immaculate condition. There is no evidence of tampering. All of the letters/numbers are crisp and the rib has the Parker Damascus stamp.

Is this common? I am porbably going to pair it with a VH 16ga I have if I can make it fit.

Thank you, BigJIm

You’re saying there is NO number stamped into the left side of the barrel lug…?

Here are some pictures. Things that don't show up.. under the right barrel, on the flat, is stamped pat date, but it is so small I had to use a jeweler's loop to read it.
I also didn't take a picture of the opposite side of the barrel lug, but it is void of marks or any significant wear.

I also find it odd that the extractors appear to be welded together as if they were ejectors at one point... Probably not, but I don't recall others being this way.
Thank you, BigJim

Those barrels appear to have been built with ejectors. There is no retaining screw and the dolls head looks like an ejector type. That would explain the welding of the parts. I have a "FrankenParker" that is similarly altered. Also looks like the barrel lug may have been filed at some point, explaining the lack of serial number. A picture of the left side of the barrel lug and a clear picture of the underside of the dolls head would help.

Really not sure what to say.. There is no excessive wear or filing anywhere.
The bores are as nice and shiny as if they were freshly honed. Possible, but there doesn't appear to be any thinning.
Someone likely cleaned up the Damascus pattern and put a lacquer coating on it, or so it appears.
Thank you, BigJim

Definitely an ejector dolls head. It wouldn't take much filing on the barrel lug to remove the serial number. Could have been done to fit the barrels to a non-original frame.

Looks like peening to tighten the joint.

The rim recesses look a bit deep, but it may be a trick of the camera.
