Forend iron removal????

What am I missing to remove the iron from a forend with ejectors? Want to address some cracking. I removed 4 screws as pictured and the iron slid about a 1/4” but that’s it, in a direction as to make me think it was about to slide out. But it didn’t. Am I skipping a step? And afraid to apply much more pressure than I already have. And a google and YouTube search have not yielded me much help. Thoughts?

Did you remove the long bolt rod from the front of the forend. It screws into the metal forarm assembly?

As an aside, that gun originally had a splinter forend. The forend was lengthened and the drawbolt added. Similar to what the factory did, just not the same way.
