Trigger guard colour

Hi all .
Please could some one tell me if you can blue over a case hardened trigger guard.
As you can see at some time in the past it has been done the wrong
colour and i wish put this right.

PS i think this flag is very old one ? but it still looks good.:cool:

good looking gun and a U. S. FLAG always looks good to me....did not see a picture of the trigger guard... charlie
