PGCA AT THE ROCK

Good Afternoon Parker Universe:

As in the past the Koneskis have generously donated table space to the PGCA. An open invitation is extended to all members and non-members to display any Parker of their choice. Everything will be provided for you, just show up with your Parker and you will be graciously accommodated and catered to.

Last year in recognizing the ever growing popularity of the 8 gauge guns and the success the recent big bore events have had an invitation was extended to all to display your monster 8 gauge guns of any make on the PGCA tables. Recognizing the effort that Mike has put into developing loads for these cannons and that we will be on his turf it seems only fitting that we invite the 8 gauge crowd to display their guns one more time. Yes, any manufacturer is welcome. Just show up with your gun and everything else will be provided. You may not have a Parker but the PGCA has and will continue to support the double gun community (and lesser guns) as deemed appropriate.

Cards will be made up onsite so need to send me a lot of info but please do drop me a line (randy@hsiagency.com) if you have something to put on the table.

See ya'll soon !

Did you ask Mikey for a heavy duty table, the big 8's don't go by ounces, only pounds:rotf:

How does that line go

Yes, I was contemplating buying this 8 gauge 7 frame AHE with 42" original Titanic barrels, but the gun was 15 lbs 8 ozs:cuss:

I really liked the gun, but the gun was just too heavy for me. I figured out that 15 lbs 4 oz is my sweet spot with an 8 gauge while chasing Sand Hill cranes:banghead:

Oh well, I regretfully had to pass on the gun:crying:

How heavy is your longest barreled 8 ? Heaviest I had was 15 pounds 15 ounces with the letter saying to weigh 16 pounds .

The 16 pounder I had was a beast for me to shoot (it has considerable drop) . But the fellow that has it now does pretty well with it .

I was a little off, it is a little shy of 15 lbs, and it balances 5 1/4” forward of the hinge pin.

The two times you let me shoot that big boy a bit I thought it balanced and handled well .
