New to Parkers, wondering about a crack

Hello!

I am new to Parkers and was wondering if this crack is something I should be worried about as a prospective buyer. Thank you in advance.

Yes and the screw has been backed off my get worse if it was tight as it should be. Just my two cents

First, did the seller identify the crack? If not, I would be suspicious of any other issues. If the price is right for you, there are experts who may (depending on the depth/severity) be able to repair that crack. Figure on $1000 to get that done right in addition to what you are willing to pay. There will always be another gun come along.

A definite maybe... Crack could originate at the head and come all the way back through, not unusual. Only way to know is to look inside, which requires disassembly.

Paul, you are getting good advice here. You might also do a search on the Forum. I remember posts about correcting split stock heads, including some with some very instructive photos.

I agree with all the advice here but would like to amend one statement: another gun may come along, but will it be the gun? Only you can answer that question :).

Thank you all for the advice! I will let this one pass by.
