Stopped by Cabela’s (Bass Pro Shop) in Scarborough, ME an hour ago and saw this fantastic Parker VH with a beautiful custom stock that must gave been done by Rudy Etchen. It was all Dorothy could do to hold me back from whipping my Cabela’s credit card right down on it!

Well sure Dean, I think you need that one. I think you'd like that pistol grip . I'm more interested in the Trojan beside it.12 ga I assume and what was it's price
|
Harold, I just looked it up online and it is on clearance for $999. Not perfect but 30" barrels, one with a pretty good dent in it.
|
Certainly not $550 like the one that just sold on the forum.

Yea, l missed that one Dean, it would have made a nice SD pheasant gun. Been kind of looking or a 16 or 20 with 26" barrels

It doesn't look like an Etchen stock.

I’me no great fan of a Trogan , nothing wrong with them they just never turned me on . The first was a 16 gauge 28” I got from Jerry Amos many many years ago and has been gone a good long time . Then I had two different 12 gauge 30” guns in say the last 5 or so years bought them both right and sold both for about $800 each , they were both in decent shape . The last one I got two years ago it was also a 12 gauge 30” with a second set of 26” or 28” (forgot which) barrels and a LOM case got that one for $1500 and passed it to a friend two weeks later for what I had in it . Just goes to show keep your eyes open and Trojans and VH’s in decent shape can be had quite reasonably .

Trojans and any other Parker in my book are great guns to shoot. Parkers rule. All I grew up with.
